Current Improvements to the Property and Structure
DIRT! Both upper and lower levels of the property are at the desired grade and complete. Post 239 anticipated the effect heavy equipment would have on Legion Way, the road beside Chick fil A leading into the American Legion. We are currently in the process of replacing/repairing this entrance. Please be patient, weather permitting, the repaving asphalt project completion date is mid-August. Post 239 will remain open during normal business hours. Post 239 continues to receive inquiries for possible sale or lease of the land. The council will keep members informed via this website or we encourage you to attend an upcoming general membership meeting held every third Thursday of the month beginning at 6:30pm / 18:30hrs.

The second story outside deck is complete and the second floor of the building renovation is complete and available for Post 239 events! Pictures coming soon...
The second floor has been equipped with a big sceen TV with cable, kitchen including refrigerator and stove, conference room with tables and chairs, central heat and air conditioning. Very Nice!!
Members and the council have agreed this area should be available for members holding events; receptions, birthday parties, etc. You may reserve this area for a small donation, see the custodian on duty for details to include occupancy restrictions or call (706) 864-2566. The space is also available to the general public, stipulations apply.
